DOE1 (Comparative Experiments)
Build the statistical foundation for comparative experiments using JMP software.
Programme overview
This technical course is a three-day workshop introducing Design of Experiments (DOE) with a focus on comparative experiments for manufacturing and semiconductor process improvement in Penang.
Participants work through hypothesis testing, sample size determination and data visualisation, then use JMP software and JSL scripts to run 1-sample, 2-sample, paired, k-sample and Randomised Block Design comparisons they can apply on the job immediately.
What participants learn
- Apply key elements of DOE to identify response variables, prioritise factors and set baseline statistical goals
- Formulate and analyse 1-sample, 2-sample, paired and k-sample comparative tests
- Distinguish statistical significance from technical significance
- Use Randomised Block Designs and JMP scripts to isolate background variation
